Lately, I've been seeing some ladies with high waist skirts with pockets, & a tank top or a v-neck tee tucked into it, making it seem like a high waist dress. I love love love the look, its very laid back but can be worn out to dinner, just dress it up with nice accessories. This outfit to me can convert from a day to night dress easily. 
Lauren Conrad did this outfit really well, this is day time and if she put on a par of heels, sum bulky jewelry, switched the bag & lost the sunglasses, she can go straight to a night club.
