YABBA DABBA DOOO!!

When I saw the 1st 3 outfits from Jeremy Scott's Spring 2010 RTW collection I automatically knew what the inspiration was. If the "jagged edges" and animal print wasn't enough, then the bone accessories and crinkled hair sealed the deal. The theme of this collection would be none other than the Flinstones with a rock 'n' roll edge. It takes a modern twist on the caveman with its neon colors, leather jackets and biker gloves. I fell in love with this collection right away since I love the Flinstones and the connection was made clear from outfit 1. Here are some of my faves from the show, ENJOY!

Fashionista of the hour: Taylor Momsen

It has been a while my fellow fashionites but I have come bearing gifts for your forgiveness. I will start with an ode to Taylor Momsen, who has been through a big change since the 1st season of Gossip Girl. Now well on their way to the 4th season Taylor Momsen is one of hollywoods young fashion icons. She has come into her effortless, rock 'n' roll style and she is rock'n it very well. From her icy blonde hair, to thigh high pantyhose and stylish boots, she exudes blooming fashionista. Not only does she play Little J on Gossip Girl but she is also the lead singer of her band The Pretty Reckless. Here is some pictures of our fashionista of the hour.

THE GRUNGY BUNCH

Alexander Wang's Fall 2008 RTW Collection screams grunge meets chic. This is what I would call Street Chic style. I love the ripped tights, baggy cardigans and slouchy beanies combined with silk dress pants, flouncy sheer blouses and uber chic booties. The dark greys and blacks give it a rebel feel but the touches of beige is seldom but much needed. This whole collection to me is high fashion but very wearable which I admire because a lot of runway shows are very costumey and I could only pick out pieces from each outfit that i'd like; but with this collection some of these outfits I would wear straight off the runway. Here are some of my favorites.

iNTERGALATiC REBELLiON

I know it's been a while people but I'm back and I was and still am so inspired by Balmain's Fall 2009 RTW collection. It's a mix of futuristic and rebel chic styles which are very popular as of right now. All of the black, leather and strappy boots brings the edginess to the collection. The strong shoulders, form fitting outfits and silver detailing incorporates futuristic style and gives the whole collection its classiness. The overall color concept is black and silver but with added splashes of royal blue and white with makes everything POP! Here is a sneak peak and some of my favorite outfits from the show.
