CLAWiNG YOUR WAY OUT

I have a secret obsession with odd jewelry and when I went onto www.Noirjewelry.com and saw the picture of the "Cat Woman Long Claw" ring my heart tapped danced in my chest... I was so ecstatic. Not only were they odd and unconventional, they were inspired by my favorite character of the Batman series =). I got all giddy inside knowing they have claw rings. And once I continued to look at the rest of the website I instantly fell in love with their use of gems, animals, architectural monuments and comic books in their jewelry designs. THE FASHiON QUEEN: AGYNESS DEYN

Words cannot describe how much I glorify Agyness Deyn's personal style. She does it so effortlessly I wonder sometimes does she have a stylist or is this her own style... her style is LOVE... I can't get enough of it. Her style is very bohemian chic/indie rock/60's mod it can't be defined. I love that her true style cannot be smoldered into a category or under a label or stereotype. This is another fashionista who I thought a post was long over due for... so kudos to Agyness Deyn for being (in my eyes) a TOF (true original fashionista)

AN ODE TO SPRiNG

In honor of spring I've picked a post that I've been wanting to do a for a little while now but never had the right time to do it. Karen Walker's Spring 2009 RTW collection is a timeless accumulation of clothing that will never really go out of style. This collection includes an array of blues, floral and animal prints, and very wearable garments that can be worn straight off the runway onto the subway. I adore this collection because it just reminds me of spring time and how badly I wish it can arrive (3 months to go). But for now here are some of my favorite outfits from the collection.

DRESSED TO KiLL

For Spring 2010 Balmain did a ready to wear collection which to me looked like it was comprised of inspiration from a gladiator women and the military. The color scheme is so *yummy* its to die for. Going through the looks of the show it looks like the female is going through a course of change in life from gladiator, fighting for her life, getting her clothes shredded by beastly animals (critics) who want to tear her wardrobe apart, to a solider in the military fighting for her right to live and breathe fashion (lol). The shimmery silvers and lustrous golds ultimately make our fighting fashionista look like a goddess and that is why I have chosen this collection to post about!

BLiNDFOLD ME

This post is strictly dedicated to Maison Martin Margiela's Spring 2008 RTW collection. I am just in lust with this collection because of the exaggerated power shoulders, the ripped pants and the blindfolding. Even though the color theme was very black and white (and nude lol) I love neutral colors for clothing. A lot of those garments were wearable to me, maybe not everything in one but you can collaborate certain pieces of the collection into a very day or night outfit suitable to your taste. All I have to say about this collection is LOVE LOVE LOVE!

RAZZLE DAZZLE

My friends && I totallyyyy live 4 sequins... sequins can make any dull outfit POP! My favorite kind of sequin garment is a 3/4 or long sleeve sequin mini dress... I would totally pair a sequin mini dress with what other than a pair of your most *poppy* pumps and a bold bracelet and a clutch purse to tie everything together. iN THE NUDE

For the spring I'm predicting that Nude colored nail polish will totally be in! Its very neutral and not over the top. It transfers from day time at the office to night time at a dinner party very easily and is just a classic look. I've experimented with nude nails and I would have to say I love it. Now when I say nude I don't mean your natural nail color with a light coat of polish NO! I mean its a color that is nude itself... my favorite nude color is Mambo by Essie (only $8 a bottle and worth every penny). I tried on Naked Truth by Essie but it is too translucent but Mambo has the very color and thickness that I was going for to portray the image below. Mambo may come out a TAD bit darker but I love it && I think its so *clutch* && hopefully if you use it you will too. Until we meet again fashion lovers... xoxo

BACK & BETTER THAN EVER

Hey my starved fashion lovers, I am back for the new year && better than ever (BTW happy new year) I'm sorry that I have neglected you guys 4 so long but I have returned with some goodies so do not despair =). It's been long enough and now I am off of my hiatus. Even though it is a new year I will still be paying homage to old fashion shows from previous years (like I've been doing) BUT I will be giving you guys the scoop on what's what for 2011 spring 4 sure! && I for sure have some new lingo 4 you as well... things that you must add to your very own *Bornt Book*. So clearly it has been long over due for this post, I have to pay homage to one of the top fashionistas of our time, Rihanna. Not only does she have killer long legs, memorizing eyes and a body to die for, Rihanna has enough style to be, arguably the best dressed female since 2009. It seems that her style can't help but be imitated from hairstyles and hair color down to her accessories. From head to toe Rihanna is fashion perfection, and this post is dedicated all to her.
